01/19/2010 - Carson, CA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Former Chivas USA midfielder Paulo Nagamura has signed with Tigres UNAL of the Mexican First Division, the MLS club announced Tuesday.
Nagamura played 73 games for Chivas over the last three seasons, and spent his last five years playing in MLS. Nagamura, a Brazilian, previously played with the Los Angeles Galaxy and Toronto FC.
Nagamura had eight goals and seven assists during his career with Chivas, but his contract expired at the end of the last season and the club was unable to re-sign him.
"Paulo is a strong, dedicated player who has given this club a lot in the past three seasons," said Chivas USA Vice President of Soccer Operations Stephen Hamilton. "While we're disappointed that we weren't able to re-sign him, we're eager to continue building the team for the 2010 season."
Chivas USA opens preseason camp on Jan. 26.
