City's Bellamy fears end is in sight

Soccer Betting Lines

11/19/2009 - Manchester, England (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Manchester City striker Craig Bellamy believes the injuries that have blighted his career could force him to retire from the game in the next two years.

The 30-year-old Wales international is currently struggling with a groin injury and could be forced to sit out this weekend's crunch clash with one of his former teams, Liverpool.

"I know there aren't four or five years ahead of me with the injuries that I've had," Bellamy told the Manchester Evening News.

"Maybe I've got one or two years at the most and it'll be all over before I know it, so I'm just enjoying it.

"The last few months have given me a huge sense of pride. I think people have seen what I am as a player now.

"I've always got goals in my career, but am I a one-goal-in- two-games player? No, I'm not, but my career has been one-in-three, which isn't too bad."

Kurt Warner to start, Matt Leinart to watch

Despite the debate that's swirling , Kurt Warner will remain the starting quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals, coach Dennis Green said today. The Arizona Cardinals are the +7 point underdog at online sportsbook MySportsbook.com for this Sunday's game.

Green's comment came in a statement released by the team following an ESPN report that Green decided that rookie Matt Leinart would replace Warner as starter for Sunday's game at Atlanta.

"Generally talking about the starting lineup is not something we do," Green told the AP. "However, given the speculation that was out there we want to make it clear. We're disappointed after last week, but we still expect to be a playoff football team and we fully expect Kurt Warner to be the quarterback that leads us. That has not changed."
