The surgery, which is being reported by the Dallas Morning Star, is the result of Terry taking an elbow to the face from Minnesota's Corey Brewer in the third quarter of Wednesday's 112-109 victory.

Terry's left eye was almost swollen shut when he left the locker room after the game.

A timetable for his return to play will be released after the surgery.

On the season, he is averaging 17 points and 3.8 assists in 62 games.
